SEÁN TESTER - AT A GLANCE...
Irish tenor Seán Tester is quickly establishing himself as an exciting new voice on the operatic and concert stage. A graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where he completed a Master’s in Music Performance with distinction, Seán is equally at home in opera, oratorio, and song. He is the inaugural RIAM Emerging Artist Fellow and Droichead Arts Centre Artist in Association 2026.
Highlights include his international operatic debut in Switzerland with Irish National Opera & Nouvel Opéra Fribourg / Neue Oper Freiburg, international recital debut at the Franz Liszt Old Academy of Music, Budapest, and performing at the State Dinner at Áras an Uachtaráin hosted by President Michael D. Higgins for H.E. Mr. Sergio Mattarella, President of Italy.
In the 2025/26 season, Seán makes major debuts at Wexford Festival Opera, National Symphony Orchestra Ireland and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, London alongside his selection as an Accademia dell’Opera Italiana Artist 25/26.
Seán looks forward to expanding his career internationally and embracing new opportunities across Europe and further afield.
